WHAT TO DO IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND A MANDATORY EVENT
If these events are not completed without an EXCUSED absence, you will be INELIGIBLE to receive a bid.
An excused absence is class, work, or out of town.
To let me know you are missing an event:
1.Shoot me a text or email with your name, organizations you are interested in rushing and the reason for your absence. (garlkr99@oneonta.edu)
2.Send that information to the recruitment chair of the organization you are rushing and they will let me know.
GAMMA RHO CHI *SPRING RECRUITMENT ONLY*
A Gamma Rho Chi is a member of Greek Life who, during the recruitment period, temporarily disaffiliates from her organization in order to serve as an unbiased Recruitment Counselor to Potential New Members. Each Gamma Rho Chi is assigned a group of PNMs to guide through the Sorority Recruitment process and answer any questions they may have about Greek Life. A Gamma Rho Chi can also serve as a liaison between organizations and PNMs, if any organization has a question about a PNM in their group.
You must preregister to receive a Gamma Rho Chi (and everyone must preregister to receive a bid), and at the next event you are at after preregistration, the list of Gamma Rho Chi’s and the potentials they are mentoring will be available for you to find out who yours is and meet her. Your Gamma Rho Chi will stay with you throughout the recruitment process and be there to help you find your place!
