SIGMA GAMMA PHI

Sigma Gamma Phi, also known as Arethusa, is the longest recognized sorority at SUNY Oneonta founded in 1894. We are a local sorority with three other chapters at SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Fredonia. Our philanthropy is Opportunities for Otsego which helps us give back to our local community and we get to see the direct impact our fundraising has on Otsego County. Our sisters are very active on campus and are members of countless clubs and organizations. We take pride in our academics, community service and our bond as sisters. We lead by our motto “Per Aspera Ad Astra” - which means through hope to the stars!
